Clay County drops to 1-A!!!!!!!!!! Yes, You've heard the rumors that we might be dropping to 1-A now it is official! The AHSAA announced their new region alignments for 2002-2003. Clay County will move into the region with Bibb Graves, Donoho, Loachapoka, Notasulga, TCC, Wadley, and Winterboro. In Basketball our region will be Winterboro, ASD, Donoho, and TCC. Our new baseball area will be TCC, Winterboro, and Donoho. Im sure we will continue to play Lineville, but whether it will be the last game of the season or not I do not know at the time, but we will find that out. The new teams in LHS's 2-A region is: Beulah, Horseshoe Bend, Ranburne, Randolph County, Weaver, White Plains, and Woodland which is moving back to 2-A after a few years in 1-A.
Some other notable movements include Crossville to 3A, Barbour County to 3A, Greene County to 4A, Straughn to 3A, Houston County to 1A, and Susan Moore to 3A.
